Hello girls, The other day, while waiting for the train to go home, after my class, Fashion for Business blogging, I heard two girls talking. One was telling the other, that she had to buy skirts for the nights because all her skirts were for days time, and she had publish pictures with all of them in her Instagram. This really caught my attention and I decided to make this post for you girls.
First, clothing labels don’t specified “ only for the day or for the night”. You decide that. And the skirt is a versatile garment and could be wearing at any time and occasion. That does not mean that we are going to go out in the date with sequins, glitter or super tight minis and heels like we were at the club. On the other hand it was really funny what the girl said about IG. Because many women’s feel the pressure of what appears to be a golden rule in Facebook and Instagram. ” DO not repeat garments”. If we publish a photo with a dress, we don’t want to wear it again. How many have not told her friends,
" Don’t you dare upload a pic with me, I want to wear this dress again” Lol. Its like until you don’t upload a pic, you could wear it thousand times. Even my mom have told me '' Meli don’t publish that pic, I already have one with the same blouse on my IG. I think before social medias (FB, IG) things were easier for women’s. But at the end, unless you have Donald Trump wallet, if you pay for a skirt, a blouse or what ever it is, don’t be afraid to wear it as much as you want to. But that does not means, you're going to take your favorite pink dress as a uniform. The trick is to add elements that make it look different. I'm obsessed with hair accessories, in this look I wear a turban, (witch I have already upload pics in IG lol) so I added a brooch to make it a little different. For the daytime, I wore flats and a neon top, and for the night same skirts heels and black top with vintage necklace.
Five tips, one skirt
1 – For daytime, wear it with flats, or sneaker (depending where you are going).
2 - Do not you wear it with the same blouse or color
3 - Add standout accessories that are the focus of your look (a necklace, a turban, a flower crown, stilettos, ) Also play with the colors (blocking colors)
4- If you always wear it in the night, give a sporty look and wear for day time with sneakers and a basic white top.
5- If is a long skirt; you could also wear it as a dress by adding a big belt on the waist.
Just have fun, and start being creative.
Hope that helps, leave a comment and tell me how it when.
Kisses!

Besitos!!
